Hello !!! I am Jorge and Celina is my mother.

My mom is a very nice and kind person. I’m the only child of hers, taking care of her and my dad for the past 10+ years. She has had a hard life, taking care of her 7 siblings since very young, she’s been struggling with depression and hardship through her entire life, to the point that it evolved into a dementia and Alzheimer at the age of 55. As you know, this disease has no cure and has been evolving during the past years. 

Right now, she’s 61 and me and my dad haven been struggling in every single aspect to keep a comfortable life for her.  I feel she’s still young enough to still get some experiences and live a better life than she’s currently having. 

The disease  has been rare for her, as with along the depression on her life, has evolved into a dementia as well; taking from her the ability to take care of herself even for the basic needs.

As you know, this disease has no cure, and though we’ve been fighting for several years now, the financial and emotional hits along with the mental fatigue have kept us away from enjoying other things in life for my father and myself.

We want to keep her at home and continue to take care of her in a controlled environment, if possible hiring somebody that can help us with the care, while I can focus on work and my other responsibilities. 

I created this blog for her… to honor her, to keep this experience alive, to help others struggling with the same, if possible; and to raise support and increase awareness for this illnesses and all its consequences.

I know the whole world is going to tough times and I know everyone is being hurt in many ways, but whatever I can do to help you and if can also help us a little bit, will increase the quality of life a lot for all.
